Disco was shit and annoying when it first hit the air waves, and it's still shit and annoying today, albeit wrapped up a bit differently). I still cringe when I hear it, and then I think of the "fashion" (I use the term loosely in this context) that was an outgrowth, and I really unravel.

Disco music, taken in small doses was okay. And at least it had all the elements of real music (harmony, melody, and rhythm) unlike much of what passes for music now-a-days which is just rhythmic poetry set to the same beat. (i appreciate that it takes talent to do that, and i certainly could not, but i don't enjoy it and i don't consider it to be "musical talent.")
